Pain in the Neck! October 31, 2008

Well, I messed up my neck & was miserable most of the day. Got in to see a chiro late this afternoon & he adjusted me–lots of snap, crackle, pop!! I feel a little better—but I sure hope this pain goes away good and soon.

Glad tomorrow is Friday! Finally, a weekend with no remodeling or painting or anything like that! Yeah!!

Work’s been good–had a few hectic things to do. I’ve kinda lost my mojo for some classes. Just not into it–keep thinking about the weekends!! I’m really, really ready for the holiday break!

I’ve also hurt my neck–think it happened when we were laying the kitchen tile. I picked up a few boxes of tiles & I think I strained a muscle. Grrr. It’s a nagging pain that comes & goes. Heat helps.

Down to 138 again (I went nuts over our fall break & put back on a few!). I’ve got 8 pounds to go. Need to start working out again. This cold weather has made me stay indoors too much! But I do have a treadmill, so there’s no excuse. I’m so ready to meet my darn goal. Eating a light dinner early should help me get there. And staying away from the fried stuff as much as possible!!

I just have to stay on track and by late November, I should be at my goal of 130. It only took me about 6 months to lose 12 pounds!! Ha ha–that was me being sarcastic. :)

Have been productive today! Folded 2 million clothes, cleaned up the glue off the kitchen tile, & still have lots of other stuff to do.

Wow! This week has been busy! I’ve been looking forward to the weekend since Monday, lol!

The weather has turned cold and rainy–coffee weather, for sure! I’ve done ok eating wise considering the PMS.

Been trying to be centered & open–have been tested a few times this week, but that’s ok. I’ve done well for the most part. Holding my tongue is hard to do. I’m getting better at not popping off or reacting to someone else’s anger or rudeness, but I also need to watch the idle talk. I need to listen more. :)

I can understand trying to cut down on energy costs, but good grief! We don’t have many perks as it is.

I was sleeping soooo good this morning. Didn’t wanna wake up. And it was COLD! :)

Got the kitch floor finished–YAY!! It looks great! DH was worn out, though.

Today was pretty great. Was a busy bee, but the kids were supah! I’m already itchin to be out for the holidays, though. 8 1/2 more weeks!

Good day today! Weather is cool! Work was good. Went for 2 walks.

Eating is going ok–about to PMS so I’m getting snacky at times. Our budget has taken a hit, so we’re eating more “staple” kind of foods–rice, beans, cheap meat, etc. Just trying to watch my portions.

But still. Life is good. :)

Late yesterday afternoon I finished my leftovers from the night before. They weren’t a lot, so I was planning on having something else for “dinner.”

I got a sweet tooth & ate some snackwell’s but still planned to have a meal.

And then I realized–I just HAD a meal! So I just did other stuff and didn’t focus on “dinner.”

And I went to bed!

When I woke up this morning, I was down a pound & a half, so I’m glad I just went to bed. :)

Been taking off & walking during my planning period. It’s been nice. I just feel better when I move around for a while. It’s not like I’m running or breaking a big sweat–but it gets my blood pumping and seems to clear my head.

We’re finishing the kitchen floor today and tomorrow! After all this time, the end is finally here!

I’ve been a fool when it comes to my eating lately! Just not making smart choices at all. Giving in to temptation & such. Eating things that I KNOW make me feel bloated & yucky.

And I haven’t exercised like I need to at all!!

I’m not depressed or anything–I’m just being lazy & unmotivated. I don’t even want to look at a scale.

OK, so all the hard work I’ve put in — I just can’t allow myself to throw that all away.

Starting this minute (why wait til tomorrow?)–I’m gonna pick myself up & dust myself off & start all over again!

I owe that to myself. :)

This wonderful break is almost over! I have really enjoyed it, though!

Worked in the kitchen yesterday–painting the island & doors & putting in light fixtures. Whew! Gonna finish some stuff off today & then all that’s left is the floor!! Yay!!!

I’ve got to be mindful of what I eat today–this fun break has also brought some no-so-fun pounds!

What a beautiful rain shower today! Boy, did we need it, too.

Cleaned up a bit & folded a mountain of clothes & then laid around or surfed the net most of the day.

Did an exerball workout–I want ab muscles! Did crunches & I felt the BURN!!

I should probably be doing more cardio–like break a massive sweat  or HITT kind of cardio. Haven’t done that in a while–most of my workouts have just been stress relievers, lately.

Might hit the hot tub tonight–this is the perfect cool weather for it!

This election is testing my patience. I’ve got to find compassion for the alarmingly large numbers of people who seem to think the candidate I’m voting for is the devil, a Muslim radical, a *insert racial epithet here*, etc. I should know by now that attitude is just a part of where I live. I’ve never been one to suffer fools well, though.
